Lis4cg Helps Child & Family Study Center Get Off The Fundraising Treadmill

July 7th, 2013

(Los Angeles, CA): On June 29, 2013, Rick Weinstein, Lis4cg’s President & Founder, participated in a half day workshop hosted by the Board, staff and volunteers of a Child & Family Study Center (“Center”). Lis4cg is helping the Center develop a “Case Statement of Support” which will form the basis for all of the Center’s donor communications and asks, and provides a valuable resource to everyone who is soliciting donations on behalf of the Center. The Case Statement is a document that tells donors the salient points about the Center’s mission, vision, purpose, history, impact, needs, and why a donor should care and give. Case Statements cast a bold vision for a better future and invite donors to get caught up in that vision. Lis4cg is privileged to collaborate with such a talented group of dedicated mental health and business professionals, parents and volunteers who truly make a difference in the daily lives of children and families served by the Center.

About The Center: The Center offers early intervention learning programs for families of developmentally delayed children ages 2 – 6 with Asperger’s, high-functioning autism, attachment disorders, developmental delays, and processing, learning and emotional difficulties. The Center is implementing a sustainable funding system to serve the next generation. For more information, contact the Executive Director at 213-387-7252.

Lis4cg Launches Israel Energy Tour Student Aid Program

May 9th, 2013

Lis4cg is spearheading a human advancement initiative, the Israel Energy Tour Student Aid Program (IETSAP), which sends promising students of Kabbalah to the Holy Land. Kabbalah is a universal wisdom that predates the Bible or religion, and can be studied by anyone regardless of their faith or path. IETSAP covers all expenses for a student’s inaugural visit to Israel including transportation, lodging, meals, tithing and incidentals. To qualify and earn this charity, a student must validate inaugural status, demonstrate financial need, exhibit a strong desire to take greater responsibility for their physical health and spiritual well-being, work with a spiritual teacher, be actively engaged in Kabbalah study, submit a case statement that includes personal history, objectives and reasons for visiting Israel and agree to furnish a semi-annual report to stakeholders that definitively measures transformation, progress and improvements. To Ryan’s Community of Friends and Supporters:

Many of you already know that a song was written and recorded last year about Ryan’s quest for personal freedom called “Justice for Ryan Ferguson.”  Surf to www.davidcavanfraser.com for a dose of musical inspiration. The songwriter is Canadian artist David Cavan Fraser who, like many of you, learned about Ryan’s case through network television. David wrote this song to capture his emotional outcry at Ryan’s plight and to comment on criminal injustice.

As a result of David’s small action to raise awareness, the song has been spreading across the internet.  Recently, David was approached by my organization Lis4cg, a social philanthropic business enterprise in Los Angeles, with the idea of organizing a national fundraising tour this spring across the Lower 48 States. The goal of the Ryan Ferguson American Tour is to raise money from individuals, corporations and nonprofits.  The money will be allocated towards (1) defraying Ryan’s legal expenses, paying his college expenses and covering re-entry expenses after exoneration (2) enhancing the reward to any informant providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of Kent Heitholt’s killer and (3) funding the Innocence Project, whose mission is to bring substantive reform to the justice system responsible for unjust imprisonment and to assist prisoners who could be proven innocent through DNA testing.

Yesterday, a news release announcing the Ryan Ferguson American Freedom Tour was distributed across the country by Business Wire to thousands of news sources, businesses and nonprofits. You can read the full version at Lis4cg.com. The tour will build grassroots support demanding the reversal of Ryan’s wrongful murder conviction while expanding public awareness about the staggering number of unjust convictions caused by systemic defects in the justice system.

As you can surmise, a project of this magnitude will be successful only through the collective efforts of Ryan’s advocates, which fortunately number in the thousands.  The moment of truth has arrived both literally and figuratively for Ryan. If you are seeking a positive outlet beyond Facebook to express your anguish over Ryan’s plight, here is a golden opportunity to volunteer and to enroll your family and friends. There are literally hundreds of volunteer positions to fill across America, some requiring skills while most simply require your steadfast desire to set Ryan free.

If you’re interested in helping the Ryan Ferguson American Freedom tour, please contact email hidden; JavaScript is required to receive information regarding volunteer opportunities.

In Gratitude,

Rick Weinstein, Chairman, CEO & President, Lis4cg

About Ryan Ferguson (freeryanferguson.com)

Ryan Ferguson was convicted in 2005 of the 2001 murder of Columbia Daily Tribune sports editor Kent Heitholt and is currently serving a 40-year sentence. Ferguson was falsely convicted solely on the testimony of two non-credible “witnesses” who have since recanted, leaving no forensic or testimonial evidence linking Ferguson to the crime.

About David Cavan Fraser (davidcavanfraser.com)

Fraser is a young professional artist who has been performing in Canada since 2007 with drummer / percussionist Special K. Together they produce a live performance that is fun, engaging and memorable. After watching a national news report, Fraser became involved with Ferguson’s plight by writing and recording “Justice for Ryan Ferguson” to capture his emotional outcry to criminal injustice. The song aptly defines Fraser’s honest and straightforward approach to songwriting which helps people laugh, cry and reflect deeply about their life’s purpose in fresh and creative ways.
